Singapore with kids: a 5-day plan that won't wear everyone out
Updated 28 Sep 2026 · 1 min read
Singapore is one of the easiest cities abroad for families. The trick is one big activity a day and a slow afternoon.
The plan
- Day 1 – Arrive. Rest, then Gardens by the Bay light show in the evening.
- Day 2 – City + Night Safari. Short city loop in the morning, nap, Night Safari after dark.
- Day 3 – Universal Studios. Go at opening, leave by late afternoon.
- Day 4 – Sentosa. Cable car, aquarium, beach, evening show.
- Day 5 – Slow morning. Pool, shopping, fly home.
Things parents ask
- Weather: hot and humid all year, with frequent afternoon showers. Carry a light umbrella.
- Getting around: the MRT is clean and air-conditioned. Taxis and ride apps fill the gaps.
- Food: hawker centres have something for everyone, including vegetarian Indian food.
What to skip with young kids
Long walking tours in the midday heat. Swap them for museums or the aquarium.
